I’ve been writing since 1999, when my favourite sci fi show killed off my favourite character and I was so incensed by this, I wrote his final scene through his eyes. I then discovered that fanfiction was a whole thing and started writing regularly. After a while, a writer friend convinced me that I was good enough to write original and challenged me to do so. The resulting novel probably won’t ever see the light of day, but the bug bit hard.
My first novella was published in 2011, under Misa Buckley (Buckley was my married name, Misa was a shortening of the username I put fanfic online under.) I wrote several novellas, won an award for one, and a series of short stories; all with a small press. In 2021, I got my rights back and self-republished TIN CAT and ARCHANGEL *waves at sidebar*
